This housing development is destroying critical endangered habitat that is basically part of the ecosystem of San Bruno Mountain State Park. The species that live here include numerous plants and flowers, insects such as the Mission Blue and San Bruno Elfin butterfly, and wildlife such as coyotes, foxes, rabbits, etc. I used to go hiking up all through this hill canyon area, and see coyotes and find beautiful quartz crystals. Sometimes would bring up a lawn chair and a beer while enjoying SF Bay, 101 and Cow Palace jurisdictions vibrate from a vantage point. There is a freshwater creek running through here that is an essential source of water for wildlife in an area that is getting increasingly parched by urban development.
