J Malden Center

The Gib Malden complex is a beautiful, very respectable, and upscale place, and the staff are excellent and kind, especially my friend Michael, who is a wonderful person, and the building manager is also very nice. I'm a resident there, and my lease ends in January. I wanted to renew my contract, but the rent was increased, and my upstairs neighbors are very noisy day and night. I filed several complaints, but no action was taken to protect me, the resident. They should have offered me a special deal with a reduced rent because of the disturbance I experienced, but instead, they increased the rent! 😊 This might be due to the noisy neighbor not cooperating with the building management. Therefore, I am forced to move out, even though I've been disturbed almost daily throughout my residency.

J malden Building is a great complex. We have been here for almost a year and just renewed our lease, the building is well made and has a great maintenance team, leasing office is always available to help and the location is unmatched. 2 min walk from the subway. We truly recommend this building to everyone specially students who have to take the public transportation. The neighborhood is also very safe and walkable with great shops and restaurants. 10 out of 10 recommended

I have enjoyed living at J Malden Center so much that I've lived here twice now. The apartments and amenities are beautiful and well maintained with a very friendly and accommodating office staff. I have a disability and use a mobility assistance device, so it's especially helpful that they have automatic doors at the main entrances, handicap parking spaces available, and elevators/ramps. The location is convenient being a 2 min walk to the Malden T stop and commuter rail, plus I'm a 5 min walk from Starbucks, a liquor store, French pastry shop, great restaurants, breweries, etc. It's a bit pricey nowadays, but I do think it is worth it. Plus all my neighbors are kind and many have sweet doggos to pet. Hard to beat!

Short Version: I lived at J Malden for a year and would not recommend. The apartments and amenities seem nice on the surface and Maintenance is responsive. But a mix security concerns, thin walls, and lack of communication from management make this building not worth the cost of rent. Long Version: Positives: - The building is conveniently located minutes away from the Malden center T stop. - The Unit I was in was nice and had large rooms and great closet space. - The maintenance staff was quick to address in unit repairs. - The Gym is small but has all the equipment you need for a good workout. - The pool area is spacious and the common areas are nice. - Things generally run smoothly during office hours. J malden has the best amenities across Boston which is awesome especially if you love hosting friends like me! I really appreciate Mike Stelmack - one of the leasing office folks- for always being so helpful and kind to answer my questions. He spent time helping me set up the tv for our Superbowl event in the amenity space and even set up a time to help us the day beforehand. If the printer is out of ink he always replaces it immediately and if it takes awhile to replace he will just print it for us which is awesome when we are in a bind. Also if we can’t find our packages he will walk with us and help us find our stuff. He deserves the best and honestly if the management is reading this you should try to hold onto this guy as long as you can. Also the maintenance team is great and always
