Brian was a fantastic home inspector for our first home purchase. I describe him as the 'Steve Irwin' of home inspections, he has an incredible ability to spot significant information from the smallest clues. He took the time to walk us through the inspection in detail and provided a thorough report filled with photos. He even taught us how to maintain the property moving forward. I particularly appreciated his approach where he asked what we valued in a home before the inspection, and afterward, helped us assess how the property measured up to those goals. This helped us make a level-headed decision. Finally, his wife, who manages the administrative side, was kind and helpful, offering great advice during the scheduling process. I definitely recommend Brian as your go-to inspector!

Patrick was an exceptional home inspector. I've worked with several and he was thorough, clear and walked us through his findings at each stage, plus summarizing his key recommendations at the end. We also had the home inspection report by that evening, which was such a quick turnaround. Very pleased and I would absolutely use Five Star again and recommend them to my friends.

I could not possibly think of anyone more pleasant and thoroughly professional to work with than Brian O’Boyle. He came highly recommended by our real estate agent and we were not disappointed. He found several issues that needed to be addressed, but was also helpful in explaining what kind of remediation was needed for those issues. Moving is stressful so we hope to never need his services again (!), but if we do, we will not hesitate call on him.

Brian went above and beyond our expectations expectations. Not only is he super friendly, he is very knowledgeable, has decades of experience, and pointed out things we would never have thought of. He is also affordable! A+, would highly recommend!

Brian did a tremendous job with our inspection! We were originally scheduled for a 2 hour inspection, but Brian ended up spending 5 hours because he was being incredibly thorough and also took time to answer all our questions. He also recommended an additional inspection from a specialty service (plumbing) to look into something he suspected but couldn't see (he was totally correct on his guess, though) The report he wrote up was incredibly detailed, and he has been available since to recommend trusted professionals who can take on the work we identified in the inspection. We will absolutely be recommending Brian/ Five Stars Home Inspection to any friends of ours who are moving in the Boston area!
