I was gonna rent from him back in 2017 when i first moved to elkton, he had his woman /wife come and show me and my husband the house. Well we never made it in to see the property because right off the back we seen she was racist. She said to us that we was not allowed to sit out in the front of the house in chairs, and that she and her husband didn’t want any of our yo boys and homeboys hanging out there. She also stated they wanted their rent money on the 1st of each month , anything after we had to leave . I left her behind standing there , never went in to see the property. Please in the love in god don’t not rent from this guy. He is all about the money. He doesn’t care about anything but the rent money. We first moved in and the refrigerator was broken and it took me 1 week to get ahold of this guy. Left 4 voice mails and then he decide to call back after one week. To give us another used refrigerator that was 7 doors down and that fridge is leaking. We had a bad leak in the basement and it took us to call the town health department to get ahold of this guy. And now we have a bad aunt problem and we left 2 voice mails and still nothing after a week. We never had this main issue when we lived in an apartment complex. What a slumlord

I strongly advise against dealing with Homes for Life LLC. My experience has been extremely frustrating and disappointing. My stove has been broken for over a year, and despite multiple requests, it has not been repaired. The deck is falling apart, the kitchen cabinets and flooring are in poor condition, and there is a persistent water leak—none of which have been addressed. They show a complete lack of respect for their tenants. Rent payments are strictly due on the first of the month, with fines or late fees applied immediately after, unlike many other places that offer a grace period until the fifth. I began renting from this property management in 2019. Things were fine until after covid. I guess they figured they could get more money in rent for the property I was in so they started taking me to court for frivolous things such a trying to get paid for late water bills (which was originally to be paid to water company). They told the court that it was my rent that was late. Which at the time wasn't. I haven't had a working refrigerator in 2 years and had to result in using 2 mini fridges to keep my food cold as they would come repair things when they felt like it.
