Highland Townhomes

I lived here with my kids because of the price for rent. There's many problems living at this complex. The ceiling in the downstairs living room leaked. I told them about it about five times. Each time they would only change the metal sheet pan under the leak in the a/c unit. EVENTUALLY THE SHEETROOK IN THE LIVING ROOM FELL DOWN!!!!! WE WERE LUCK WE WEREN'T EATING AT OUR KITCHEN TABLE AT THE TIME! A HUGE CHUNK OF THE CEILING FELL IN! IT WAS 5 FEET BY 4 FEET! The bathtub upstairs had some soft spots around the tub. It probably fell through the floor into the downstairs by now! THE OFFICE STAFF IS SLOW AND RUDE. I HAD A NINE YEAR OLD GIRL AND ONE OF THE MAINTENANCE MEN WOULD LOOK AT HER WHEN WE WERE AT THE POOL. WE BOTH GOT CREEPY VIBES. I NEVER LET HER GO OUTSIDE ALONE. THERE'S SE

I've lived here for almost 6 years. Even through changes in management the staff has always been great towards me. The price is great for the space that you get. It's a quiet area, so it's great for people that are tired of student housing in Huntsville. My roommate passed away, and when I called them to ask about taking her pet rent off from my monthly charges, they straight up took half of my rent off for 2 months. Since the change of management, they have staffed great workers that come and fix the problems that day. I can't say enough about how great my time here has been.

We did not have one good experience with management while living here. Our door did not lock from the time we moved in. The adhesive on our floors seeped out and messed up the carpet, our rugs, and our socks and shoes. I had to threaten to hire an outside company to fix it before they helped me. It took 3 months before they spent 10 minutes fixing it. We spent 2 weeks without water. When they finally came to fix the pipe, they left a hole underneath our kitchen sink that led to outside. It was large enough for our cat to fit through. When we discovered mice coming through a hole in our closet, we notified them and all they did was cover up the hole by putting a brick in front of it. We spent a whole weekend cleaning the whole apartment before moving out and barely got a safety deposit

The neighborhood is quiet. However, the appliances are very out dated and some of the wood is degrading, like the cabinets breaking and decaying inside the house; which is how some of them were when I moved in. If you don’t leave the place as if before you moved in, they will charge you for any and every little thing just so you don’t get all of your deposit back. They charged me for the floor when they placed some cheap wood floor paper down and it would randomly ooze out glue over time. I don’t recommend living here, unless they do a remodel.

I have lived at the Highland Townhomes for going on 4 years now. I have had a great experience. Maintenance is friendly and takes care of issues as quickly as they can, and management has always been very helpful. The atmosphere around the property is very nice. It is quiet and everyone seems very hospitable. I can and have recommended the Highland Townhomes to people looking for nice, quiet place to stay.
