I live in one of their properties out in West Branch. Homes are in a fine location, but have a number of issues and extremely poor, hurried construction such as nails visibly sticking out. I had a lot of issues with mice, and kept a shovel in my living room to deal with them due to their refusal to send a proper exterminator. I have yet to receive a working mailbox key after 4 months. In the winter months I am forced to leave my patio unlocked, because the building uses electronic locks which freeze over. Both myself and my neighbors have been locked out during blizzards bc of this, but luckily I live on the ground floor so neighbor can easily find me if they need assistance. Heritage Property Management wasted our time, money, and housing opportunity. We reached out through their website’s contact form to inquire about a specific condo listing on Historic Way in West Branch. In our message, we asked them to confirm several key details: – Was the unit 1,250 square feet? – Was the rent $1,320/month? – Did it include a two‑car garage? – Was it available starting August 1, 2026? They responded confirming all of those details. They said yes to the square footage, price, garage, and availability. Extremely poor experience. I provided written notice, returned the keys, and they still claimed the lease was active months later—without ever giving proper notice or a rent demand. Communication was unclear and dismissive, and I’m now in court just to recover my security deposit. I wouldn’t recommend renting from them based on how I was treated. I encourage you to read the other reviews and do your own research. This is my honest opinion and experience.

I have negative feelings about my experience with this landlord. When I moved in, the apartment was not cleaned, and they refused to do a walk-through with me in person. Additionally, there was a fruit fly infestation when I moved in. HPM hired professionals to handle the issue. Half of my security deposit was kept for cleaning, despite my efforts to leave the unit in good condition. Communication throughout the lease felt rude and unprofessional. However, the apartment itself was in good condition and a decent place to live overall. My experience may not reflect what everyone encounters.
