Harbour Gates Apartments

It’s taken me a couple of days to cool off and write this review. On Tuesday morning (6/3/2025) around 3:00am, my car along with others were stolen right out of their parking spots in front of the 2004 building. Harbour Gates apartments have ZERO surveillance cameras in their parking lots. Apparently, this has been going on for the last 4 months in the Harbour Gates community according to a detective who is assigned to this case. Emails are sent out about the leasing office staff leaving early or being closed, but NONE in the last 4 months regarding this issue. This is complete negligence on the management staff at this complex. How is it that our dumpsters have more security with a retaining wall than our personal vehicles parked in the lot where you live? And with our rent increasing. I

Currently looking to move out ASAP! It was decent the first couple of years being here and any problems would be addressed quickly. Unfortunately, this property has deteriorated severely in the last 6 months. Everything people have said negative is true and I have experienced it all: 1 - Car Broken Into 2 - Car Towed with all proper tags 3 - Car Stolen 4 - Leak in ceiling causing drywall to fall through 5 - Damp carpet from underground water 6 - Online Portal accidentally double charged my rent payment on 2 different occasions. And most recently; the big snow storm that hit was not cleared in reasonable amount of time. In front of my specific unit and sidewalks were not cleared until 8 days after the snow storm. !!! LOW INCOME FAMILIES BEWARE !!! My roommates and I (young-adults) have lived in Harbor Gates for almost 2 years after moving here cross-country. I wish this review was written sooner, but since we are low income with little wiggle room, we did not want to rock the boat. Unfortunately, we can not stay quiet any longer. In June 2024, just 3 months after moving in, I noticed that the carpet in and around my bedroom closet was damp. It had been raining a lot that week, so I figured maybe it was an issue with drainage due to our unit being on the ground floor. I had put in a service request to the resident portal, not knowing how serious this problem would eventually become. There was never a response to my service request, and over the course of the next year my carpet would periodically

It would be a lot cooler if people didn't park in spots that they didn't dig out after a snow event... Looking at you Allison! ...I have a shovel if you need to borrow it.

Overall, Harbour Gates is a decent place to live. I was here for just over a year. The grounds are kept up decently, the maintenance is generally pretty speedy, and I didn’t have any pest issues. The apartments themselves are nice, but very dated. I had constant issues with closet doors falling off, and several appliances failed while I was there. They were replaced, usually within a couple days. The carpet, at least in my unit, was kind of a joke. It was basically ruined before I moved in. I often stepped on tack strips while walking around. They did fully depreciate the carpet and not deduct anything from my deposit though. Most of my complaints come from the inconsistent messaging from the front office (except Haley- it was often a relief when she was in versus other folks), which us
