Hamilton Park Apartments

I have lived here nearly 25 years and been content for the most part. It has been a safe, clean environment . There have been periods of very good management and times of management that have been difficult to deal with. Fortunately there is a frequential turnover of the latter. They have been quick to make ADA accommodations for me and timely repairs when needed. We have two elevators and one of them goes down frequently. Repairs have taken a long time due to how old the elevators are. That is why I'm only giving four stars. But it is a good place to live. It has a nice community room, a sunroom, nice grounds, and is on the bus line. The local library stops by every 2 weeks to drop off and pick up book s we have selected. The senior center provides regular bus rides to local supermarkets.

Bring some climbing gear and few feet of rope- in case you have to climb up the outside of the building (SWAT team style) in order to get to your parent’s house. The office slow as molasses getting any kind of resolution to something as simple in getting the Callbox to work. Have to call the office only to be directed to a VM machine; the sign says “dial 000 for the office” no one ever answers .. ever

My parents live here well just my mom now my Dad passed away in March so this building will always hold a spot in my heart. Rest in Peace Dad I love and miss you so much

There are TWO elevators there and the tenants have been dealing with only ONE working for MONTHS! Many tenants are of course elderly and many in wheelchairs. So now you have only one working elevator in a time where the COVID cases are once again going up in New London County - this means that people are no longer able to wait for the NEXT elevator. So you have several people all in the elevator at the same time - and some are not wearing masks. The office has stated that there is major work that needs to be done and it will take a LONG TIME to fix. REALLY? that is the response? Totally unprofessional and this is now how a Senior Housing facility is run. Not acceptable!

My son's great grandmother lived in the apts back in 1995 . very nice staff and helpful to her and everything you need is there with public transportation is close by.
