Grand Highlands at Vestavia Hills

This apartment was a HUGE step up from my last one. Grand Highlands is a quiet community with lots of friendly people. The amenities are great, especially the tennis and pickleball courts! The whole complex is super pet friendly with lots of doggy bag stations throughout and a cute little dog park and dog spa. I’ve noticed they put a lot of work into their complex. From little things like repainting lines on the sidewalks to big projects like refreshing the landscape, they do a lot to keep up the beautiful appearance. I saw a lot of people mentioned frustration with the recent water outage but personally I felt the apartment handled it well. I've lived in the Grand Highlands Apartments for almost 10 years, and I have to say that for the most part, it has been an enjoyable experience. Two of the most important things to me are location and safety. It's a perfect location for me-close to everything I need with minimal traffic-and I have always felt safe-Vestavia police department. Often there's even an officer living in the complex to call upon, if needed. They have made many nice additions/updates over my stay. The pet spa has been very useful and we have enjoyed the pool, as well as the tennis and pickleball courts. I’ve lived at Grand Highlands for 2 years, and the amenities and location are truly unmatched! My boyfriend and I live in a 3-bedroom and absolutely love it. The community is very pet friendly, and the dog wash station is such a nice touch. The management team keeps open communication and is always quick to address any issues or concerns. They also host fun resident events regularly. The most recent was a coffee and breakfast taco giveaway on our morning commute, which was such a thoughtful surprise. We plan to keep renewing our lease until we’re ready to buy a home. Like any apartment community, there are occasional issues such as water outages, but honestly, that’s something even homeowners deal with, and at least here it’s not on your dime. I have lived at Grand Highlands for 2 years with my girlfriend. We absolutely love it here. This has been the best rental experience I have personally ever had. It is by far the most pet friendly community I have ever lived in. There have been no issues. With a top notch leasing and maintenance team, I can say any issue that might come up is dealt with promptly and resolved in the best way possible. Everyone has always been so friendly and very reasonable to work with. If you are looking to rent, definitely check out Grand Highlands.

This is my second year living here. Nowhere is perfect and nowhere will ever be. I looked at complexes all over the south Birmingham area. I’ve had very few maintenance issues and when I did, they almost always responded in a timely manner. My garbage always gets picked up. The people in the office are always nice to me. I’ve seen lots of comments on the water issues. We also got dozens of emails about the water outages. One of the most important aspects for me was a dog friendly community. I see people walking their dogs every day. I love the pet spa. My dogs like yard. Also love the location because the grocery store and all the stores are within minutes.
