Exeter Village Apartments

RENTER BEWARE!!! Terrible living conditions. Everything is cheap ….appliances, flooring, countertops, etc. Terrible issue with water leakage from the washer area. Twice a year if not more, water would leak into the washer area and kitchen area. Always claimed to be “fixed” yet continued to happen. The tipping point was when the sewer had back up into our apartment from the upstairs unit. We couldn’t sleep in our bedroom for almost 2 weeks plus had people in and out of our apartment to replace the rugs, floor, and drywall and work in the septic issue. The people doing the repairs broke out furniture moving it in and out of the rooms when replacing the carpet. This complex is friendly, secure & the maintenance crew do an amazing job. Of course, there's always room for improvement a 6th. star would be needed. The office crew are reliable, friendly & professional in a "down-to-earth" way. Readily approachable. The gym is adequate for my needs. The pool area is fantastic.

I lived here a little over a year, I signed a 13 month lease, my issue is that they charged me $525 for repaint, now I did put up curtains in the bed and living room. Bedroom has 3 windows and living room has 2. I had no excessive holes, just enough to put up the curtains on these windows. Now they specifically state to try and patch these in the move out letter. Now they were some scuff mark by the front entrance but not $525 worth. Now I only lived in the apartment for a year, I did not put any pictures or any else on the walls other than the curtains. I’m just letting future tenants know how they might be charged for move out and also I’m wondering if that’s a normal price for these scuffs and holes from putting curtain up, I wish I could put the video I took when I move out so every

Exeter Village Apartments was my first apartment/renting experience and I couldn’t have asked for anything better! I thoroughly enjoyed my year at Exeter Village. I was lucky enough to be towards the back of the village with a view of the woods/creek off my balcony. The complex was always clean, quiet and I always felt safe. A big push for me to choose Exeter Village over any other complex was that I could have both of my canines with me for little to no restrictions. Staff member were always nice and helpful, maintenance came in a timely fashion, neighbors were (somewhat) nice and minded their own business. It’s a few months that I am living at exeter village. So far I liked the community and the apartment. It’s bright, spacious and clean. But there is one problem that no one cares, maybe other apartments don’t have this issue! Since I moved in, I have plenty of flies in the house. Although all my doors, windows are closed, and I am persistently killing them in many ways like fly zapper, swatter, traps,…. they keep reappearing! I have told the office multiple times and not sure if the exterminator ever came to visit my apartment! I send them the photos of the flies so they can identify them! I have been cleaning this house constantly and I am sure that these flies have seeded somewhere and that the reason why they reappear!!!
