Excelsior & Grand - St. Louis Park

I genuinely love living at Excelsior & Grand. The staff is always friendly, helpful, and easy to work with, and it’s a truly dog-friendly place—which matters a lot to me. My patio has become my little oasis, full of plants and cozy seating, and it feels like a peaceful extension of my home. Photos don’t lie!

Lived here for the last 2 years. It’s a quiet neighborhood right next to a Trader Joe’s and a Fresh Thyme, so no need to drive for groceries. Has a gym too so that’s pretty neat. Marie in the office is the GOAT and she gets it done!

We lived here for 4 years (in two different units) and overall really loved our experience. The staff are excellent at communicating and overall just creating a good vibe. Britni and Marie were always helpful resources for us. I felt that the pool was clean and maintained for the most part, and the package room was secure and easy to use. Maintenance requests were typically handled quickly. Our dog loved living here as well! Lots of other dogs who are mostly friendly and well behaved, he made lots of friends and it was a great way to get him socialized as a puppy. Proximity to Wolfe Park is hard to beat, plus the location in general was a luxury with walkable food options and shops. I’ve been so fortunate to call Excelsior & Grand home for the past year and have truly enjoyed it so much! The front office team is always so kind and helpful, especially Britni, who always brightens my day by bringing in packages or checking in to make sure everything is going well. The location is another huge plus, with so many great spots within walking distance like Trader Joe’s, Lago Tacos and Wolfe Park. It’s been such a wonderful experience living here—10/10 recommend!

I’ve lived in this complex for three years, and while there are aspects I’ve genuinely appreciated, my overall experience has led me to finally move out. After being given just a day’s notice to vacate my apartment for repairs to the unit above me, I missed a flight because I couldn’t access my clothes — an inconvenience I don’t even hold against management. However, when maintenance left my bed broken afterward, what followed was two months of back-and-forth communication and dozens of messages (essentially me begging and attempting to convince them) just to get a replacement baseboard so I could sleep without rolling off my bed.
