Customer Reviews
Nurses and aids were very nice. Beyond them the place is dysfunctional my father was discharged after they threatened we wouldn't be able to leave without writing them a check during the appeal process. He left with no aids that he needed for day to day living such as a walker. No med prescriptions called in he hasn't had his meds in days and they seem to be no help when I call and ask why they weren't called in to pharmacy yet. If you truly care about your loved one I would not recommend this place at all.
I could not be more impressed with how the current management team has really turned this building around. It may be true that this building had its past struggles under previous management, but Embassy of Scranton is now thriving! Staffing is solid, and they have a highly experienced clinical team that can handle complex needs and understands the value of true quality care.
If I could give this place 0 stars I would. I was a patient there about 2 years ago rehabing my legs. Ive seen complaints of the place smelling like urine and feces. Well do you know why that is? Because they let their patients sit in their own filth for hours at a time. The day time nurses were very ignorant and nasty. They dont follow doctors orders cause I wound up back into the hospital with an infection. The rooms are outdated and filthy. Rehab is a joke. If your lucky you will get a really nice night nurse that will talk, clean you up, do your hair and actually take care of you. Morning nurses are awful they dont even hand out meds on time. Oh and please check the meds they give you because I was handed the wrong medication had I not checked who knows what could have happened to me.
Working with George was a pleasure. It wasn’t an easy case, but I’m truly thankful for the professionalism he displayed and the care that was given. I know there were some challenging situations along the way, but the team did their best to make him as comfortable as possible and to deal with the situations accordingly. I also think people often forget that when someone is admitted to a nursing home, the staff not only have to get familiar with a new patient, but they also have to work with family members and friends. Every facility operates differently—comparing one to another doesn’t always work. Some facilities are updated and fully staffed, while others are managing with fewer resources. Keeping that in mind really helps to understand the effort and care that staff put into each situa
June 2025-I visited The Embassy of Scranton to check on a loved one (who I removed immediately after what I witnessed), and I was absolutely horrified by the conditions. There was urine in the hallway with nothing but a towel thrown over it, and urine in the elevator with only a “Wet Floor” sign placed on top. Staff were standing around talking instead of addressing the situations, allowing the entire facility to reek of urine while people unknowingly walked through it, spreading contamination. The patient rooms were in terrible shape—mold on the walls, calcium buildup on sinks, visibly dirty toilets, loose wires, and broken air conditioners. This facility is supposed to help people heal, yet it is clearly a serious safety and health hazard. The overall energy is chaotic, depressing, and
