Ellington by Mungo Homes

Much like some previous reviews this community is filled with wonderful people who have been sold terrible homes. Mungo takes no pride in their work. These house are matchstick homes that are filled with the cheapest materials possible. They are poorly constructed. If we ever get more than strong winds these will fall apart. Poorly measured interior doors, Sprinkler fixtures that didn’t last two years, falling or drooping light fixtures, places in the house aren’t properly leveled, leaks from exterior doors that aren’t flush, our yard is sinking in places. After having them address one area in the backyard the month after we moved in more pooped up. No concern for the little things either. I can't stress enough to stay away from this community and the builder. I bought a house and sold it 9 months later and took a bath on it. I just needed to get out. The builder advertises the pool with lazy river. They closed the pool more than once because people POOPED in it. There was a problem with the granite in my kitchen. They came out twice to fix it amd when I still wasn't happy with it, the next thing to be done was replace the granite and then you don't hear from the warranty people anymore. Theucdo not respond to phone, texts and emails. Then I came home one day to a lake in my driveway. If I was home a little later the water would have made it into the garage. We had to use a rug to divert the water away from the house. The warranty plumber came out and wasn't able to fix

We live in Ellington now for a little over one year and it has unfortunately been a horrible experience for my family. This home built by Mungo is very low quality. We have dealt with nothing but drainage issues in our backyard, roof issues, excessive settling of the home causing numerous cracks in the drywall, poor materials used in construction like a lack of insulation causing unusually high heating and A/C bills, very thin walls where we can hear every noise outside far away from our home, and just poor quality and cheap materials used inside our home. To top it off, Mungo's warranty process is dismal and not focused on the customer at all. I wouldn't recommend Mungo to my worst enemy and that says a lot. Four months living in my new home and Mungo's TERRIBLE work is showing itself. Busted pipe in my backyard causing a massive water leak, plumbing pipes installed BACKWARDS causing feces, toilet paper, etc to flood 3/4 toilets and 2/4 bathtubs, fireplace gas leak which could have taken the lives of my family and electrical sockets that didn't work because of the poor wiring installation. Mungo cares ONLY about throwing houses up in 2.5 seconds and has ZERO REGARD for the families that will be living in them. Mungo ONLY cares about making MONEY and has ZERO regard for the lives of the people living in their awful work. Mungo should be ASHAMED of themselves. No wonder why they harass you to complete their surveys immediately aft

This is a very nice home community. Large selection of homes to fit your needs. The area is pretty decent! They still have home sites available.
