Eastlawn Apartments

Lived here about six months. Here is what I can tell you about them, all factual. 1. He will rent to you if you have an eviction. Do not tell him you have one. They do not do background checks. He will charge you +3-400 more a month because of an eviction & start eviction proceedings exactly on the 8th if you don't pay. My rent was 1325 with a 1600$ deposit. 2. Roaches. You will get them. When #3 moved out, their hoard of roaches came through the sink. They will spray once and call it done. 3. Maintenance is odd. They don't really fix anything. 4. You will go days without ac. There is a reason everyone has window units. The ac only runs in the summer and only when it hits eighty degrees outside. 5. The only positive is the heat. It will cause you to SWEAT. 6. really do feel sorry for the good residence. I do not know why y’all allow pets here people just let them crap everywhere. Hate seeing that they let their dogs right where the kids wait and play for the bus and they stepping in crap. They’ll let anybody move in here, so be careful.

My mom lived in building 7 apt 3 and Everytime I went to visit her from out of town the ac either wasnt work or she had a leak of some kind and the last incident was 4th of July weekend. Her toilet backed up would not flush "Mike" came and tried to snake it multiple times and nothing but brown water started coming up from her toilet and bath tub. They ended up leaving her without use of any toilet over night then Mike came back over the next day and kept telling us different things was going on and it was a outside issue. I proceed to tell my mom "not him" that that place is garbage and she needs to get out immediately, Mike then butts in amd starts accusing me of bad talking to him when i NEVER said a word to him to begin with! Super colonies of pesticide resistant roaches infest all of the walls of this place. Keep searching for another place to live, no amount of chemicals or cleanliness will keep them out.

What can I say that hasn't already been said about this "wonderful establishment"? I lived there for 2 years with my mother years ago, she took immaculate care of her apartment, returned her keys with the apartment in better condition than when she moved in, yet received not a penny of her deposit back. My younger sister then had an apartment in the same building that the owner/manager, Mr. Meade, has his office. My sister caught Mr. Meade, as well as a maintenance person, in her apartment without her permission or knowledge on more than one occasion. A renter's personal life is of too much interest to the staff there, and my sister longer felt safe in her own home.
