This is not a place to live. It’s a very nasty buildings and the outside by the trash is also nasty. They don’t come and repair things inside of your apartment. You have to call the building inspector to get things done. And that’s no lies. They have mice infestation problems also roaches. The doors supposedly stay locked at all times but they don’t. Please don’t rent here

Slum Lords is putting it nicely. They are a management company so technically they are the middle man between the tenant and owner and they use this to their advantage all the time. They supposedly report the issue to the owner and then blame the owner for either not getting back to them or just flat out saying no. We have walls leaking from the outside of the building for 2 years it's been a problem and they have fought it and dragged their feet about it the whole way. We had our basement flood because the main sewage line for the entire building was backed up and they refuse to pay for any of it. Joel is the manager and is condescending to say the least. I've lived at 22 South West Street in Mt. Vernon since 2020 and have had nothing but problems. Those problems include leaks, power outages, problems getting in the building, no elevators for days (in a 17-story building) unresponsive maintenance, etc. Don't even try to contact building management by phone, they never answer. They even tried to tell me that Section 8 had stopped paying their portion of the rent and I owed them over $4,000 in rent. It took them three years to take my DECEASED wife off of their paperwork, asking me to provide them with her financial information. She never even lived here, she passed a week before moving in. I am one of their tenants. 1971 Webster to be exact. I am a disabled tenant who also works (only form of income) in their building who lives in the 4th floor. Their elevators have been off all last year. Currently, It’s been on and off. This Year, I’ve been stuck in my apartment for almost two weeks. I’ve contacted their offices their management is rude and nasty and never picks up my calls, emails, text. Landlords don’t answer their phone calls either. I don’t understand how they are getting away with this!

This organization has a fair number of situations where children are opening the doors & leaving their homes due to the easy open slam lock. I added a second lock to avoid this, I was asked to have it removed with no reason provided besides an expired lease from 2016 which noted “no second lock, unless permission requested.” Mind you, we are in 2021. I asked Mary for permission to keep my lock in for the safety of my children, then received a notice I have 10 days to remove it. When asked why I couldn’t have one given the circumstances that Have occurred to myself and other tenants, I was told she was not required to give any explanation. Simply leaving this review because it will continue to occur to the tenants and when it does and god forbid the next family may not be as lucky. I want t
