My husband and I rented from Cherry City Properties from June 1, 2018 to August 31, 2020. Our primary contact was Carmen. Our first payment, prior to moving in, consisted of 1st month rent ($2142), including utilities (gas, electric, water, internet) and lawn care and our deposit plus two pets ($1400). I was told by Carmen that watering the lawn was included in the rent (I did not have to do it). The place was filthy when we moved in (used soap in the shower, bowl on kitchen floor with water in it, fur everywhere, including inside washer and dryer, etc. On June 21, 2018, our water was shut off. I was told it was a “miss communication between the owner not living there so they did not know a tenant was there”. We received a notice from the lawn company stating the lawn needed watered

During a three year stint in The Dalles ('23-26'), we rented two homes from Cherry City Properties for about 1-1/2 years each. Initially, I didn't want to consider renting here due to a previous review that was negative, but well-written. I'm not doubting their experience but we rolled the dice and went with Cherry City anyway. Our experiences with Cherry City Properties were great: their properties are well taken care of and they were quick to respond to a few issues that came up during our stay; they're good stewards of other people properties. Also, we received full cleaning deposits after leaving both places. We love the fact that they offer some unfurnished homes that do come with washer and dryer.
