My 81 yo mother was attempting to purchase a house and 8 acres. She insisted on a survey. After the survey came back it was clear the picture of the boundary property lines posted on realtor dot com were not even close to the actual property line. Second thing we noticed is that there was a major gas pipeline running diagonally through the property. The realtor working with my mother never brought this to her attention and what it meant. When I questioned the realtor about she said she did not think it was necessary because the thought my mother just wanted to remodel the house.
