Review for Hudson Square & Captain’s Lookout Apartments My experience at both Hudson Square and Captain’s Lookout was deeply disappointing—largely due to the leasing professionals, Ann and Lauren, whose behavior was consistently condescending with a racially charged tone. As a single black woman with great credit and income, I was repeatedly subjected to unnecessary questions and inappropriate assumptions through out both of my lease terms.. This included being asked numerous times if I had a roommate. Also, I was told when I decided to get one that the person should be added to the lease. I NEVER at any point mentioned a room mate. Recently, my buddy and I went to the food truck dinner at our apartment community, Captain’s Lookout. Hudson Square joined in too since both communities are managed by Prime. I thought it was an awesome way to bring residents together—just hanging out, enjoying good food, and getting to know each other. We met some really nice people from Prime, including Tamara and Kara. They were walking around chatting with everyone and taking pictures, and you could tell they genuinely love what they do—even outside of work hours. That kind of energy makes a big difference. The only downside was that it was a cloudy night, because the views from the deck and parking lots are usually incredible. Overall, I’d highly recommend Captain’s Lookout—it’s a great place to live!

I had the pleasure of attending the recent Food Truck Event hosted by Prime, and I was truly impressed by how smoothly everything ran. From the moment I checked in, I was greeted by multiple friendly staff members—Lauren, Dottie, Ann and Christine—who made the experience feel welcoming and organized. The RPMs were actively engaging with residents, walking the site and creating a genuine sense of connection. The food truck vendors were quick, courteous, and offered great options. The entire event reflected a strong sense of community, and I imagine living here feels just like that—connected and cared for. Kudos to everyone involved for a job well done!

Today is our 1 month anniversary of living at Captain's Lookout Apartments. We sold our home of 25+ years and chose to downsize here in a 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom, + den. Everyday we see boats, wildlife (including bald eagles), glorious sunrises and occasional evening fireworks from our beautiful balcony. The complex itself is quiet, clean and peaceful. Our property manager Cecelia is professional, personable, and very accommodating to our needs. She is top notch at her job and one of the reasons we chose to live here. We could not be happier with our decision to make this our new home.

There's really no beating the view at Captain's Lookout and the unique thing is EVERYONE gets that great river view as opposed to other properties. I'm surprised if this place doesn't have people on a waiting list to get in. Tammy was kind and professional start to finish and even offered to research movers for me. I'm from West Virginia and I didn't expect to experience that kind of community feeling up here. Made one of my best friends with my next door neighbor and noticed that most people who live here are very kind (if I even see them at all, the way the building is set up). I really couldn't think of a negative thing to say; one comment mentioned being pricey, but the rates are even below market value for what you're getting these days. Worth a tour!
