Canterbury House Apartments - Lebanon

Within the past month there has been a few issues I don’t think anyone would be fond of if they lived in these apartments. For example: - There was a total of 4 inspections within a span of 2-3 weeks with less than 24 hrs for preparation; spring cleaning inspection (its fall almost winter) Quarterly inspection, fire extinguisher inspection, maintenance inspection. - Dumpster pad does not exist, more like dumpster island with the trash and flies that hang around the area. The trash continues to pile up every day with threats of fines to whoever leaves bags outside the area, but there is no other option as where to put the bags. - MY MAJOR PROBLEM is the new neighbors, THE ROACHES!!!! - The maintenance man hasn’t personally given any attitude or any problems BUT he does smell highly of MARIJ

Honestly, I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone that has another option. From having lived there for almost a decade, it was clear the apartment complex was poorly maintained and very understaffed. The outdoor areas were consistently dirty, with litter piling up. (Pictures included) Inside, maintenance was almost nonexistent. Getting a repair was a struggle every single time, if they even responded without just closing the ticket. (Plus, its not cheap enough to make it worth it.) Look elsewhere if you value cleanliness of the outside areas and don't want to be fixing stuff on your own!

The property manager Sonia is absolutely awful. She's beyond rude and unprofessional. She is never in office,answers the phone or emails. Trash piles up by the dumpster because there's not enough space for everyones trash to be picked up once a week if it's full and you set your bag next to it they try and charge you 100$ per bag and box but they themselves will place items outside of the dumpster. The maintenance guy is okay but he does take a minute to get to repairs as it is only himself working maintenance for the whole complex. The apartments are good in size but really cheaply thrown together (all my window sills are literal counter tops that are painted over and the paint peels up if it gets the slightest bit wet). I could get over the cheaply made apartment if the management was no

My daughter in law has been trying to move into these apartments since May. Has been nothing but lied too for 3 full months. Was promised an apartment and even given an address on June 21st. She has 2 small kids and one on the way. Here it is the end of July and every time we go up there the door is locked and “they are in a meeting” We have asked to speak to a supervisor and still nothing. This is not ok!!

This is a wonderful place! I moved my mom in here in August and I can't tell how much Michele and Marie have helped me. Not only did they work with me to get all the paperwork taken care of because I was moving my mom from out of state, but they continue to help me when I have concerns, even when it's not "apartment" related. They are awesome people with hearts of gold! Maintenance is very quick in responding and the neighborhood is fairly quiet. You do have understand that it's an apartment and not a house. Some people expect to have the "house like" quiet and no it's not that, but for an apartment, I think it's pretty great.
