Branchwood Apartments

Just turned in my notice today only because we are moving out of state. Otherwise, we have had no problems at Branchwood in the 2 years we have lived here. I see reviews of people saying staff is rude, I, nor my husband have ever experienced that. We have always been treated very well. The prices are very good compared to other apartments in the area. They are fairly older, but clean and maintained. We have not had any issue with crime. And it is very quiet. Our building has amazing neighbors that we are going to miss. If it weren't for moving out of state, we would stay here longer. Thank you Branchwood staff for providing friendly service and a peaceful place to live in the center of Goose Creek. Being close to everything (stores, restaurants, etc) is a bonus.

Was told by Kim Whitehead the property manager that there was an apartment ready for my requested move in date. Not even 5 minutes after submitting $275 in deposit fees, I received an email from her stating that the apartment had been rented and that there would not be one available for a month to month and a half! Politely said that, that would not work for us and asked for a refund. I was told that it would take 17-20 days to receive a refund.... That was 17 days ago. A week ago when I checked the status of my refund, I was told by email that it had been processed. Today I was told that my check was coming from out of state and would be mailed... Guess I will have to file with the magistrates office if I want to get my money back. VERY rude and unprofessional!!

ZERO STARS. I called in this morning to see about an apartment that I received a notice would be becoming available and as soon as the phone was answered by KIM, who I see in other previous reviews is not a very welcoming person to talk to (ironic since she chose to be in customer service. Maybe pick a different job field if your gonna be terrible at the one thing your hired to do.), I was greeted by complete rudeness. I was asking simple questions and trying to be as polite as possible during the whole conversation however every time I spoke I couldn't even get out a full sentence before I was rudely interrupted by her short and brash comments. Before moving in please remember that the people in the office are the ones that you have to rely on for your maintenance and building complaints.

Decided to call to see about getting a tour to view their apartments in person or virtually. Kim picked up the phone and quite frankly I see why ppl leave bad reviews about her. She reflects the image of the company whether she realizes that or not. When I asked about touring she basically said “We have nothing to show and bye.” She wasn’t even trying to be helpful in trying to figure what I was looking for or when I would be interested in moving, incase one does become available to view. Not trying to single her out but she definitely needs to work on people skills. Customer service isn’t for her.

Moved here november of 2022 and haven’t had any issues. Many reviews on rude staff, but they’ve always seemed delightful and helpful to me! Older buildings but very well maintained and they’ve very good on anything needing to be done in a very timely manner! Would absolutely recommend to others.
