Aura NoHo Luxury Apartments

I wanted to write a better review and I wish I could. I lived here for five years and actually enjoyed my time staying here. However, when moving out, the disposition process was horrible. I received a letter with multiple payments that were taken out of my security deposit which I had already paid for. I gathered my receipts and sent them to the leasing manager at the time and she said she would bring this up and get back to me. Almost a year later I have not heard back despite multiple follow ups. The leasing manager was wonderful, but she kept saying that accounting never got back to her. Attached pictures show proof of payment in the online portal and the charges that followed in the disposition letter they gave me.

Update to add: Rent was increased a few months back stating it was for "building improvements. No improvements! The cleaning person is just pushes a dust broom around and talks on the phone once a week (if that). The halls look the same before and after her "sweeping". The pool has yellow algae & no pool safety signage. The repairs they do around the building are unprofessional and poorly done. They take rent and do nothing to maintain things. The building gets worse every day and is poorly managed & maintained. See photos of the luxury they claim to offer. Nothing luxury about this place! Recently moved into Aura NoHo and have been loving it thus far! Our building manager is extremely accommodating and issues are very quickly resolved by maintenance. We also have not had any issues in regards to noise. I would definitely recommend Aura NoHo!!

If you value your sanity and your wallet, DO NOT RENT HERE. This apartment complex is an absolute nightmare, thanks to shady management and their blatant disregard for tenants. Let’s start with the insane $120 late fee they charge—even when your rent isn’t late! I paid my rent on time every single month, but one month I submitted my payment on the 1st at around 9 PM. The next morning, I saw a $120 late fee on my account. When I went to the office to ask about it, the manager, Wendy, shrugged and told me, “Just don’t pay it.” So I didn’t. Fast forward to when I moved out—guess what? They took that bogus late fee out of my security deposit! I would NOT recommend moving in here! After living her a little over a year, my girlfriend and I moved out due to extreme noise issues (the walls are like paper). The apartment wasn't cleaned when we moved in. We found crumbs, pictures of the last couple that lived there, and pieces of dog food everywhere. When we moved out they basically STOLE our deposit! One of the charges was for owed rent even though we paid the prorated rent already -through a portal mind you so everything was electronically documented! Their system is just inaccurate and our account was never correct the entire time we lived there. We left the apartment in immaculate condition and they charged us to REPLACE the carpets even though we had no pets, didn't wear shoes on the carpet and never spilled a dang thing on it!
