We submitted a full-price offer immediately after the property listed and agreed to aggressive terms to match the seller’s requested fast close. Our offer was allowed to expire so open houses could be held, after which we were told multiple times that our offer was still the strongest. Later that evening, the seller accepted another offer without warning, without a counter, and without a highest-and-best request.
