I currently live here and management is a joke. The elevator has been out for over a month. This happens all the time and management does nothing about it. Not to mention the boiler that breaks every 6 months and management taking days to weeks to fix it so we don’t have hot water for that long sometimes too. We have to file several complaints with the city and still it takes weeks to get a resolution. Paying so much money in rent and have to walk up flights of steps because management refuses to fix the elevator

I have lived at 179 South Harrison St East Orange, NJ since 2013 amd can say the current property owners has allowed this building to become a dump, Spaxel Property Management company. Maintenence is not done properly, bldg is rat and roach infested. Side doors are not properly secured and are usually broken. What cleaning of the hallways are usually done by one man using a mop and bucket that is used for all 5 floors without changing out the water, eww. Every winter since this company has had this building we endure multiple heating issues at some point or another. Hot water issues are the norm in here. Currently as of today's date, Nov 3, 2025, our elevator has been out of service since Oct 3, 2025. If you come to this building with the intention to rent an apartment here, please pay att

It’s not the best apartment, but I do recommend this place if you ever want to live. I just give it 4 stars because it’s a little small. Although it’s alright.
