The building is marketed as Class A, but the reality doesn’t match. Most staff seem uninformed or unhelpful, with the exception of one front desk attendant who actually appears to know what’s going on. Maintenance issues are constant and rarely handled in a timely manner. Elevators are a daily headache. Typically only one is working, and during peak hours the line often extends past the mailroom. Repairs throughout the building move painfully slow, and the attitude you encounter when trying to get issues resolved is frustrating at best. I have lived in Woodside Central for two years. I know there are several negative reviews, especially about electricity and management, but my experience has been different. The management responds quickly to any concerns, and communication is clear and accessible. In particular, Katherine, the assistant to the management, has always been kind, professional, and attentive when addressing my questions or requests. Despite what has been said, living here has been a positive experience, and the building offers a pleasant environment.

Let me paint you a picture. It’s 6PM and you’ve just arrived home. The Manhattan bound 7 train doesn’t stop at your stop anymore, and the Q47 has been rerouted so you walk home in the frosty, cold, snowy evening. You wait in line for the elevator, and when it finally comes, you and 8 other people pack yourselves like sardines inside because there is no way you’re waiting another eternity for the next one. You get out of the elevator and are hit with a strong scent of MARAJUANA and someone's cooking. Nothing new, it doesn’t phase you anymore. You look forward to taking a long, hot shower, then making yourself and your family a nice dinner. After 10 minutes, the hot water runs out. “That was nice while it lasted” you think to yourself. Lived here for over a year. Glad to finally leave once my lease is up. Would not recommend this place. Walls are super thin so you can hear everything from next door. People are super loud even at odd hours and there is frequent weed smell. The first year and a half there was always construction all morning long. Front door receptionists are great but building management is super unresponsive to emails. Very frustrating. And the lack of transparency around the electrical utility fees. People here are paying way more for electricity than other places. Disappointing experience overall.

Lived here for almost a year, we’ll try else where in a few months after the lease. Building is clean overall. Maintenance has been responsive and receptionists are friendly. Amenities are nice and maintained. Rent is ok, have not seen an increase. Perfect for fit? Read on, do you love hot water? Apartments have their own small tank heaters/boilers so if you like to take long showers think about the next person. It takes two hours to dry your clothes further using electricity. Our electricity bill was $700+ through out the summer. It has big AC units that take up a lot of square footage. Management used to be better but now only responds when they feel like it. When other tenants don’t want to go out and smoke you will smell it in your apartment through building ventilation. It’s between
