Willows on Weidman Apartments

Don't live here. Since the new management company has taken over they employed rude, condescending lazy office management. The maintenance team (specifically, Kyle) is always kind, respectful and professional. They kept raising rent but I think that money goes towards their themed parties they like to host in the leasing office/club house. And I guess the rest of those charges went to the company hired to update the outlets, then to power wash the exterior of the buildings and trim trees. They like to overcharge tenants and tack on charges because and I quote, "That's just something we do." If it's not in your lease that you signed, don't let them bully you into paying. I lived here for a little over a year, regrettably. When my roommate and I moved in, we could tell it was in bad shape but we had no other options at the time, so we signed the lease. Within a month, mold started growing in every room. We kept the apartment very clean, and we followed every instruction to reduce the growth of the mold - but nothing worked. My roommate and I were sick the entire time we lived there. We just moved out and even just one day after, we felt better. Imagine that. The floors had paint splatter on them, the appliances were outdated, we did not have overhead lighting at all - the bedrooms relied solely on natural light. I only put 1 star because I can’t write a review without putting at least 1. DO NOT MOVE HERE By far the worst experience living at this complex. The A/C constantly stopped working because their units are very out dated. I paid EXTRA for newer appliances and they were not. $1794 a month is insane. They are supposed to change your air filters every 2-3 months. I was there for 18 months and it was only change twice. When we first moved in I went to check it and it was pitch black and fell apart in my hands. There were cracks going up the walls. The ceilings in the bathrooms were bowing down. The carpet kept getting ripped up every time I vacuumed my room. The tiles in the shower were popping out and we had to take a plunger multiple times just to get the shower to drain the water. If you want to live here DON’T. I lived there for 18 months. Worst place ever. Ac never works. If I want to set my ac to 68 it 69, I should be able to. It never reached that due to it being old and broken. Crazy that my bill during the summer was over 400 due to the ac. As you can read in almost EVERY REVIEW. When I moved in I payed extra for new appliances when I got outdated ones. I was never told they would be like that. I also payed for new carpet just to get new carpet. Our bathrooms had the ceilings bowing down due to water damage, I have picture proof as well. The roads in the apartment are so bad. The pot holes are past my ankles when I stepped in them.
