Western Carolina Rentals

I’ve been renting with WC Rentals for the past 4 years and am on my third rental home with them and they’ve been nothing but great to me! Alisha has always been the most helpful in finding me a new rental when I’ve needed to move. They’ve always been very prompt when responding to maintenance requests as well and getting things done quickly when needed. I’ve gotten my full security deposits back from each home I’ve rented from this company by just making sure the house was clean when I left. I plan on continuing to rent with this company until I end up leaving the area!

We've had a great experience renting with Western Carolina! Everyone is so sweet, especially Alisha, and they respond to anything we need in a timely manner. They're super great and we're planning to rent with them for as long as we're in the area, which should be a while! :)

Please do your research before renting from WCR! If you are a parent of a student looking for housing, I strongly recommend looking elsewhere and avoiding cosigning. From what I’ve seen and read, this company has faced legal disputes in the past, and their owner, Erik Enberg, often responds to critical reviews in a way I personally find very unprofessional. Just read his replies to the 1-star reviews and decide if that’s the type of landlord you want to deal with.

Western Carolina Rentals touts their professionalism and protection of the landlords. What I haven't seen is what they do to protect the tenants. Untreated maintenance requests, egregious charges for furniture replacement (that wasn't brand new to begin with and coming apart) and no responses to messages. Much like many of the other lower-scoring reviewers stated, the attitude from Erik is unnecessary. I'm sure the response to this will be "you left the place disgusting, we fixed this issue, etc." but ultimately, Western Carolina Rentals will spin their story in their favor - every time. Don't waste your time or money with this company.
