WFL is a gorgeous building- the apartments have high ceilings and amazing windows for plenty of light. Gorgeous spot on the Charles River with a walking trail- tons of residents have kayaks and there is a place to store them on site. While the brick walls are lovely, just be prepared that they will increase the heating bill! Overall, our little space is beautiful and generally very up-to-date regarding appliances. In-unit washer and dryer, free parking- both things that can be hard to find in the Boston area! There is a gym, but it’s small and hard to find, so definitely ask for directions to it. Rent is pretty expensive and utilities are not included, so it is a costly building. The maintenance and leasing folks are wonderful here- shoutouts to Michel, William, Dan, Robert, Sherri, Kevin

I lived here nearly one year and have never had a worse experience with an apartment. - My dryer was broken on move in and took two weeks to replace. I was given a unit to use their dryer but when I went in there was no dryer in that unit as well. - My fridge wasn’t working properly and took over a MONTH to get replaced by management. - My hot water heater was apparently installed incorrectly and had to be fixed on move in. - Packages delivered are strewn about in the lobby for anyone to walk by and take with no organizational attempt whatsoever. - The trash room was abhorrent most of the time as shown in the photos. I think these are in violation of fire codes as well as sanitation codes - as there was mice feces after all the trash was finally moved as shown in the photo. Note that this

The good: convenient to commuter rail and moody street, the exposed brick is nice. Initial price is comparable to other premium apartments in the local market. Did not require first/last month rent. Allowed pets. Main office is responsive and is open at reasonable hours. The bad: Tried to raise our rent 14% after the first year after being repeatedly told by the agent who signed us that yearly price hikes would be minimal. The roof leaked into a light fixture in the kitchen, which we alerted maintenance about several times, but they were unable to fix. Since they were unable to fix it, we just had to turn the breaker off to those lights and not use kitchen lights. Windows are extremely drafty, so the apartments are hard to cool/heat, your bills will be high. Despite the premium rental cos

If any of the following points sound appealing to you, then you should move here: 1) You enjoy paying high heating bills • Heat constantly escapes from the apartments. There’s always a draft coming from the brick walls and those massive windows. • Management has no clue how to fix the issue. Honestly, I have no idea how the city/state allows them to waste so much energy. • My highest heating bill? ~$300—and that’s not including electricity. Electricity was ~$150-~$200 An unoccupied apartment with heating set to whatever keeps them from not freezing the pipes costed $180. I would put my money directly in the river than put it in this inefficient heating. 2) You like paying outrageous rent for almost nothing • The so-called “amenities” are a joke. There’s a tiny, outdated room with a pool

I've lived at the Watch Factory with my girlfriend for nearly two years now, and we hope to stay for another - it's a gorgeous building with a ton of amenities (gym, courtyard, dock, kayak and bike storage, pool room, parking spots, etc) in a town full of great food and things to do. It is expensive, but at the rate that apartments are going for in Boston (and surrounding areas) these days, you're getting a lot for your money. Management has overall done a good job addressing any issues that have arisen in our time here, though I'll admit the building (due to its age) has some issues that maintenance has had some difficulty addressing (in our case, a small leak through a sealed-off old chimney). Regardless, our Watch Factory experience has absolutely been a positive one, and I would readil
