Vieux Carre Apartments

I lived in two different apartment complexes in Jackson, and I can say with great confidence that this my favorite place to live in the city. I would strongly recommend anyone interested in a modest, affordable place near the major hospitals. Pros: - Affordability - Quick maintenance service - Attentive leasing office staff - Proximity to important locations - Spacious - Community felt safe and calm. Cons: - Water has been turned off on short notice a handful of times but this wasn't too bad; note the city-wide water issues. - I noticed 3 to 4 roaches in my apartment over my 3 years of living here but no other pest concerns (note I always declined pest control services). - Buildings are older, but I haven't experienced infrastructure-related concerns personally. - My building was directl

We LOVE Vieux Carre and have had a wonderful experience living here. There has never been a more helpful, friendly, welcoming, or accommodating staff. Throughout my time living in apartments, I've learned that management makes or breaks the experience. And the management here is quick to reply to questions/concerns and maintenance issues. The apartments are in an ideal location (walking distance from the medical/dental school, and directly across from restaurants and shops). They are spacious, up-to-date, and safe. The complex is gated, and it feels like its own little neighborhood community. We plan on staying here for many more years, and are so pleased with our choice to live here.

I lived here for 2.5 years, and it was wonderful. The location is amazing, especially for the price, about a mile away from the heart of Fondren and right next door to The District. The most important things to me were the security and outdoor pool. I loved both. I highly recommend checking them out.

I would have liked to tour these apartments in light of the reviews. However, I have never gotten the opportunity to view them. Whether I call or come by on break, no one is ever at the office to answer my call or welcome me. Therefore, for poor customer service, I gave them this rating.

Not too much to say about it. Pretty average, not great not terrible.
