Valor at Harlingen

It was surprisingly very quiet. I did live in a one bedroom so it wasn’t families. The girls at the office were always friendly and helpful. It was really one of the better apartments that I ever lived in. I really don’t want to leave. I wished they could extend my lease 6 more months instead of having to sign for a year. I would probably stay another 6 months if I could. They do try to do Christmas and holidays parties along with meet and greets. They try hard to make it a good experience to live there.

Read this if you want a real assessment of this complex: I’ll start with the cons-first expect their to be a high likelihood that even as a resident with a sticker or a visitor with a pass clearly visible in your car it will be towed at some point. This is due to speaking with several other residents who had similar issues as well as myself, My deduction is there is a family member who scouts every evening typically after sunset until 11 ish at night for cars of a shady borderline criminal towing company in Brownsville called rancho vejo towing that this individual either works for, has family that owns the business or is just outright getting paid to boost their numbers because your average apartment resident isn’t going to bother with small claims court. 2018 : Great place looks pretty new , Becky was extremely positive and helpful showing me around the place. Update 2021 : Lived here for 3 years , it was overall a good experience with some issues, I believe it is one of the best looking complexes in Harlingen, quiet , nice , there's a dog park. Apartment was well insulated for sound and heat. The place feels safe in general , relatively new apartments, neighbors are friendly, appliances in good condition, maintenance orders take a long time but eventually things get fixed, nice pool area and the complex is nice overall. I just completed one year living at Valor and my experience has been very pleasant. Even though the management team has changed since I first moved in, Cassie has always been a constant support 🙌🏻 she's always kind, professional, and dependable. The new team with Carrie, Miranda, and Caroline is also very friendly, attentive, and always willing to help, which makes the community feel welcoming and well cared for. Valor is quiet, pet-friendly, and a great place to call home. I truly recommend it to anyone looking for comfort and peace of mind.

Maintenance people are great, parking is impossible, front desk can be okay, but horribly/poorly handled property. Every 3-4 months the underground water pipes burst, massive amounts of water floods the area and we are low on water/decommissioned for a couple days at a time. Management is well aware of this persistent and never ending issue. They hide behind corporate and blame corporate as to why they can’t invest on installing new water pipes. Mind you, the ones that are currently in place are about 8 years old, they are meant to last you about 30 years….. Even more of a reason to invest and fix the issue, and not just put a band aid on it. Do better!
