Valley View Apartments

Horrible, run down, way overpriced. This complex should have been condemned years ago. Our apartment was infested with bugs and black mold (never got fixed by owner). The carpet was at least 5 to 10 years old with stains everywhere. The walls were painted over cigarette tar from the last renter so when we were taking showers the walls would sweat a disgusting odor and yellow tar. The broken and extremely outdated and gross appliances, faucets, counter tops and shower enclosures were never replaced despite calls and letters to the owner. The owner is a rude slum lord who never fixed or paid for anything to be replaced, you either live with it or fix/pay for it yourself. What is great: Your friendly managers and maintenance folks are sweet and helpful. It’s a quiet and safe complex right by old downtown Poulsbo. I was in a bottom unit and every once in a while, I would hear hard footsteps from my neighbor above or an occasional toilet flush. The walls aren’t overtly sound proof but there are a lot of people living here who have normal 9-5’s so it’s usually very quiet. It’s less than a 3-5 minutes walk to old town where there is a waterfront park and several great little stores to explore. It’s a safe and quiet neighborhood great for walks, jogging, bicycling or whatever else you do. The location is unbeatable for the price. Horrible place, rent is a crime, maintenance people on meth or something. Managers live onsite and want to know why you do anything, invade privacy, etc. Owner is very aggressive and will take your deposit guarenteed.

I got my full deposit back. The place was close to my work and the price was affordable. I always recommend this place to my friends.
