If you have any other options for a leasing company in Bellingham I strongly urge you to pursue them. Utopia is incompetent and malicious. A horrific combo when the company you rely on to remain housed is actively lying, overcharging, invading privacy and generally making life really hard for their tenants. Lakeway and Hammer are bad, sure, but the absolute worst experience I’ve had has been Utopia by a huge margin. They imposed made-up, arbitrary deadlines, often after not responding for days, weeks, or even months at a time. It is nearly impossible to contact anyone that works at the Utopia office.
