The Maples of Cullowhee

The Maples is an incredible place to live. Management goes above and beyond to make sure tenants are safe and satisfied with their services, and are always amazingly communicative about any and all questions or concerns you may have. Generally speaking, the area is very homely and people keep to themselves (it is a fairly quiet area!) so this complex is for those who enjoy that sort of atmosphere. Also, the rates for units here are affordable in comparison to other complexes. I have a sister who lives in a nearby complex who pays a higher rate for a four bedroom apartment than I do for my double bedroom apartment, with the exact same amenities, excluding the fact that I have my own parking space and she does not. I moved here for grad school and didn't have a chance to see the apartment before I applied. I was very happy with my decision and really enjoyed living at the Maples while in school. The highlight of my time living here has been knowing Britini and Paul. They are an incredible management and maintenance team that any complex would be lucky to have! Not only are they incredibly competent at their jobs but they are efficient and super great as people. If I weren't done with school, I'd still be living there. Living at the Maples has been the best apartment living experience I have had yet. I have lived at two other apartment complexes in the Cullowhee area, and the Maples is by far the best. My roommate and I have decided to renew our lease for a second year because of this. The grounds are very clean and safe, and parking is ALWAYS available! Any maintenance request we have ever sent in (which has been very few) have always been fixed that day. The apartments are very cozy and comfortable, and the neighbors have all been extremely nice in addition to having a very friendly and approachable staff. I HIGHLY recommend the Maples as an apartment complex and a home.

I was in a desperate need of housing when I came across, The Maples of Cullowhee. I was a seasonal worker who needed a roof. Britini, the apartment manager, swooped in and helped a girl out. She was informative, responsive, and dependable. The apartment that I was in, had a great set up. It was cute, cozy, and plenty of room. I had updated kitchen appliances, but they didn’t disappoint. Maintenance was responsive and kind. Both manager and maintenance were great people and easy to talk to. Definitely will say with full confidence that this was the best apartment that I have ever lived in. Can’t beat the price, amenities, location, and solitude. Would absolutely recommend.

I lived at the Maples from July 2011-July 2015. This is a great place to live and rent from. The owner Judi is easy to work with if you are honest and up front with her. Kim who is the manager is always attentive and is a pleasure to deal with. The Maples is 95% of the time a very quiet place to live and study. In the years I lived there, if there were any disturbances they were handled promptly. Mauricio is the maintenance guy and he is wonderful as well. If I were not moving from the area, I would have continued to stay at the Maples. I would suggest anyone whether student or adult look at the Maples as a potential place to rent. The apartments are nice and for the price and package deal it can't be beat in this area!
