The Groves at 421

I absolutely love living at The Groves at 421! It is quiet and peaceful and everyone that I have met has been super nice and helpful! Highly recommend if looking for a nice, clean, and spacious apartment!!

Our son was student and lived at The Groves at 421 for 2 years. Our lease was over by the end of June 2025. He told the complex management that he would have to stay additional 4 days in month of July 2025. They agreed and were supposed to prorate the July's rent and refund us the balance, but they changed their mind and did not refund the balance when we asked for. So, please make sure that all conversations and agreement are properly documented in advance with these folks since promises could change quickly, and the trust has no place on their end!

Quiet neighborhood but we did have some issues even though it was a brand new apartment. Pro-Close to work as was working in Harnett county System (about a 20 minute drive to work). Nice gym and pool on the property that residents can use. They also have free breakfast once a month for the residents. They also had various events throughout the year the residents could go to (pool party, pumpkin painting, and thanksgiving meal). Con- The walls are super thin-our neighbors could hear us and visa versa. The fire alarm went off every time we put something on the stove to cook (VERY sensitive). We also had NUMEROUS spiders while living here outside our living place (maintence never came by to fix). The way they fixed the mess was to pressure wash the halls. The Groves has been an amazing experience for me! I’m a second year medical student at CUSOM and live in a one bedroom apartment. It’s clean, updated, and a perfect layout for what I enjoy. The clubhouse has a nice little office area and many tables to set up for studying when I don’t feel like going far to work, but also don’t wanna stay in my apartment. The pool is nice and the pickleball court makes for a fun time with friends. I also have a dog and it has been a very dog friendly place for him. He loves running in the dog park and meeting other dogs in the complex on walks.there was an incident a little while ago involving a hand full of cars getting broken into and the management immediately addressed it and installed more cameras outside. Living at the Groves is the perfect place for a CUSOM student! It is a 3 minute drive to school, has great amenities, and I enjoy studying with my friends in the spacious clubhouse. The sidewalks are great for study laps with friends and large dog park is perfect for my dog! You cannot beat the commute and amenities for an apartment in Lillington. Bailey, the office manager, is always so helpful when I need her also. Highly recommend!
