I’m going to be real. If you want a decent looking apartment with a mid complex and below-average complex services come here. It’s a huge complex so it’s incredibly impersonal in all aspects. I would recommend anywhere else if you have the means. I’m not trying to be a hater I’m just trying to share my experience. The first year I lived there it was fire alarms going off nonstop almost every other month, multiple times a month. They seemed to have fixed that issue at least. I had my heat break in the coldest month of the year. My ac break in the hottest month of the year. I’ve had to call 911 for arguments happening outside of my apartment that get so loud I’m concerned someone’s about to get murdered. Constant street noise. There was somebody who got stabbed on cobble hill terrace and the
Lived here for two years and had a great experience. The ground floor unit with accessible front door was perfect. The location allowed us to get to know Wheaton well, which was a bonus. Ashley and Kent were excellent property managers - they were always responsive and addressed every concern promptly. Their communication and professionalism really stood out. We got the apartment thoroughly cleaned before move in. Like a lot of apartment communities, there were the usual suspects (trash overflow on Sunday, elevator maintenance, standard fire alarm maintenance) that cropped up over time, but nothing that detracted from the overall positive experience. Overall, great place to call home. :)
I would highly suggest that you don't move here. I moved out 3 years ago and only lived there for a year, and I got multiple noise complaints for walking from my bedroom to the kitchen for a glass of water or dropping my phone in the bedroom. I just got something in the mail today from a debt collection agency about debts I had with them. I called them today and asked them what debts I had, and it was 10 dollars for blind damage to a microwave filter and bathtub coating, which cost over 400 dollars they didn't ask me forwarding address they didn't let me know they would do this inspection like this and they didn't call me to at least let me know i had to pay for this instead they decided to wait 3 years report to debt collection agency. I will give them 2 stars because, in my experience, m
The landlord—and I assume by consequence, property management and maintenance—are all terrible. The best aspects of this property are the convenient location and a few of the floor plans. I lived here for about 4 years and had hoped to stay longer, but the experience eventually became unbearable. Unfortunately, management appears more responsive to public reviews than to the actual needs and concerns of residents. I recommend filing many formal complaints with the Montgomery County Office of Landlord and Tenant Affairs, as well as the Code Enforcement Office when applicable (just call 311). While this may help in some ways, it will still be an uphill battle.
Would not ever recommend living here. The fire alarms went off every other week for the first two years straight of us living here. They had a mice infestation and blamed residents. When we needed dryer repairs they left the vent out of the wall and when we called to have them come fix it, they never did. I fixed it myself. They took my water heater when it snowed and left me and my sick child cold with no running water. They told us it would take 24-48 hours to get a new one. Then why would you take mine and leave my family with no water or heat in 20 degrees weather…When asked if they will reimburse or help or at least give us a heater or somthing they said “ nothing we can do to help you. call rental insurance”. I would never live here if I had known it would be this bad.
