The Beacon at Gateway

I have had nothing but a wonderful experience with The Beacon in Scarborough, Maine. From the moment you walk in you feel at home. Amanda, Aidan and Madison truly make you feel like family. The moving process was seamless. Every question I had was answered thoroughly and promptly. Moving can be very stressful so communication is paramount. Every box was checked and then some. The property is also immaculate. The neighbors are friendly and we feel extremely safe here. The entire experience has been nothing short of stellar.

We’ve lived here for almost 3 years and have had a great experience. The leasing and maintenance staff are helpful, friendly, and responsive; the property is well kept and in a great location; neighbors are friendly and we’ve never had a noise issue. Highly recommend!

I lived at Beacon with my son before we moved into our house and it was absolutely wonderful. As a single parent I always felt safe, and the amenities made us feel like we were living large. My dog loved the dog park, and having specific waste bins for poop bags throughout the entire property made walks much more enjoyable, since I knew I wouldn't have to carry the bags for our whole walk and bring them back into my home. We lived right next to the clubhouse and pool, and my son loved being able to go over and grab a snack and a hot chocolate whenever he wanted. We loved living there, and if it weren't for moving into a house we would definitely still be there! We are seniors who lived in Maine for over 40 yrs before retiring to Florida and then couldn’t wait to get back to Maine the state we call home. We bought and sold our home and moved into The Beacon at Gateway just when they finished building the apartment we leased. After the pandemic we moved out of state but then decided to return and wanted to live in the Beacon again because It’s quiet, very pleasant with well maintained surroundings, 20 mins from the Portland Airport, 6 miles from the beach, less than two hours from Boston Logan Airport and my kids only has to travel less time than before to see us. I have loved living at the Beacon at Gateway while looking for a permanent home. My 2 bedroom, 2 bath unit on the second floor with a balcony is in building 12000 which is nestled in the woods at the dead end of the community where it is very private and quiet...no through traffic. It has a garage which has been a wonderful addition. Also, there is a large parking lot to the side of the building where friends find it easy to park for their visits. The management folks are wonderful to work with and the few maintenance requests that I have had have been addressed quickly and successfully. I think you would love living in the Beacon at Gateway, especially in unit 12201!
