The 87

My family and I came to the beautiful city of South Bend, Indiana last month to find a place for my son to live at while attending Notre Dame for the next 3 years. After viewing a few very disappointing complexes, we stopped by the 87 which was still under construction, and were totally impressed by the presentation and showing done by the complex manager, Amanda Kindley. She was very detailed and made us aware of the specials that they had at the time and we had no hesitation at all in picking a unit and signing the lease. What we assumed to be the hardest part of moving a our son from Ca across the country for school, ended up being the easiest part and that's all due to the great service of the staff and management led by Amanda and the rest of the ladies at the office. My daughter needed housing in South Bend while doing a senior internship. We felt very lucky that we were able to get an apartment for her at The 87. The website was very well set up, and so convenient to check the current bills. The staff was lovely and positive every time we asked a question or needed something! It was winter and we took the option for indoor parking so she had her own spot. The apartment was new and very well laid out. We as her parents felt she would be safe while living there. It was also convenient to the food store, gas station and her internship. She loved her time living at The 87.

As a Graduate Student at the University of Notre Dame, I love the 87!!! They are very reliable in all methods of communication whether calling, messaging through the resident portal or the maintenance requests. Steve and Alex fixed my maintenance issue so swiftly and responded to my request in under an hour! The team at the 87 are so responsive in every sense, I would really recommend them to someone looking for student living. The higher price point is definitely worth the environment, amenities and communities that exist here :)

My daughter has been living at The 87 while attending college and as a parent, I feel very reassured knowing she’s in a safe and supportive environment. The location is ideal—close to campus but far enough away from the noise of dorm life. She’s been able to focus on her studies while still having easy access to everything she needs. The apartment itself is clean, well-maintained, and more spacious than most student housing options we looked at. Management has been responsive whenever she’s had questions or needed help, and the security measures in place (like gated entry or secure access) give me peace of mind.
