Vivo Living South Bend Apartments

As a Notre Dame student, I had an exceptional experience living at this property. The property manager and maintenance employee were incredibly kind and attentive. They always made sure that any issues I had were promptly addressed, and they went out of their way to ensure my needs were met. Their dedication to maintaining a welcoming and comfortable living environment truly made my time here enjoyable. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a supportive and responsive management team.

Incredibly thankful for Toni the community manager, and the on-site handyman (whose name I didn't catch, apologies!). Toni has made living in these apartments far better than when she found them. She is professional, quick, and communicative. She spends a large amount of her time and energy making sure the community is safe and inclusive to all residents, and regularly hosts community barbecues and breakfasts to further bring the community together. She has been phenomenal in my transition out of South Bend for a new job as well, of all the things I had to worry about, my current living situation was not one of them, as my lease had expired and I went month to month waiting to hear back about a new job opportunity. If I could give 0 stars I would. I lived here for 2 years and can confidently say this place is nothing but trouble. The grounds are terribly maintained. The pool is disgusting and has been for some time. I think it was functional for exactly 3 months of the 24 that I lived there. Any and all decking/stairs are falling apart. In the winter NOTHING will be plowed. NOTHING will be salted. You exit your house at your own risk if there is any more than like 2 inches of snow outside. The apartments are barely livable. The kitchen is so tiny that it hardly qualifies as one. The burners are useless and could take up to an hour to boil water. The sink has a flat base so nothing drains. I have lived here for the past year. The neighborhood is quiet and even though you share walls with neighbors, it is quiet. Maintenance is friendly and typically get things done quickly. The only reasons I did not give 5 stars is due to the laundry and mail room issues. During my first 6 months of stay, the mail room was also tied to office hours. Sometimes, the office personnel would close at 5:30-5:45 instead of 6. This made it so a lot of packages were postponed or outright not delivered and sometimes I had to wait a week to get mail from the previous week. They have since resolved the issue. If I could give 0 stars I would. My experience with Vivo was horrible. They sent us pictures of our apartment prior to moving in and the pictures showed a fireplace...and we were told it was going to be a first floor apartment. We go to move in and it's a second floor apartment with no fire place. The apartment was not clean--there were dishes in the washer, refuse in the freezer, marks on walls, items in the utility closet. The laundry was free at first, but there was ONE WASHER AND ONE DRYER for 10 buildings with four units in each building. Eventually they started charging for laundry. The pool was green and inoperable for 90% of my year at Vivo. You have to watch your bill, as they will randomly change what they're charging you each month. My lease said $1417, but I was being charged $
