BUYER BEWARE – TEXAS PARTNERS TITLE COMPANY IS NOT TRANSPARENT Our experience with Texas Partners Title Company was extremely disappointing, stressful, and damaging as first-time homebuyers. During the title process, they completely failed to explain critical financial information, including separate Texas MUD (Municipal Utility District) taxes that were NOT included in our mortgage payment. This is not a minor detail — this is a major recurring tax obligation that directly affects a homeowner’s monthly costs and legal responsibilities. At no point during the title signing were we clearly informed, verbally or in plain language, about this additional tax. I am pleased with the action taken to resolve my issue and still feel that my original experience at the time of closing was satisfactory. I am leaving the original review below as informational for other buyers to be aware could be an issue with this or any other title company they close with as most buyers are not aware of builder liens on new construction properties.
