Sunset Properties at Sunset Beach

This was my second year renting with Sunset Properties, and the first time that I had an issue. On the Monday of our stay, day 3, we discovered that the home were renting would not be available in the future due to the Owner’s decision. This was difficult because we rent two houses for the same week and this one was just 2 buildings down from the larger property with room for ten. As soon as we found out that next year was not available, we stopped by Sunset Properties and asked for their help. They provided a list of 9 properties that were within walking distance of the larger house. They let us know that some of these properties could be taken next year by the current renter as long as a deposit was made on Wednesday. DO NOT RENT FROM THIS COMPANY! We recently rented 1612A EM - On the Hour East. Once we entered the home we knew the house had NOT been cleaned prior to our arrival. Unfortunately we arrived on a Saturday and the Sunset Properties office was closed until Monday. We found dead bugs throughout the home, dirty linens, urine stains on toilets, hair in the master bathroom and layers and layers of dust all over everything. There were even spider webs on the lamp next to one of the beds. The bath mat in the master bathroom was covered in dirt, sand and someone else’s hair. The location and views are wonderful BUT the windows of the home are so filthy you can barely see the view of the ocean from inside the home. Beautiful place with a fantastic view via Sunset Properties. They were really quick to want to fix anything we found wrong at the house, but there were lots of fixes. The people were easy to get on the phone.

Great rates for late August, cottage was great. It had all the amenities that you needed. A 3 to 5 minute walk to the beach and 5 to 10 minute walk to the pier. Will rent from again in the future.
