Strawberry Lane

I knew from word of mouth how horrible Weidner was but with nowhere else available I ended up at Strawberry Lane and it was just as bad as the people say it is. If you can overlook the constant police presence, harassment from neighbors and zero support from the leasing office then maybe. We put in several maintenance requests for simple jobs, they would mark them as completed in the portal and then never complete them. We moved out and they still haven't been completed. We were continuously harassed by false reports from a neighbor that the entire neighborhood had problems with- when the leasing office couldn't stop her she called police, fire, animal control. If they could cram more people in a smaller place and charge like it's a single family home, they would. Workers are fine but reading the lease sounds like living in North Korea. You cant own motorcycles, you get charged extra for having a pet every month on top of initial pet deposit, and there's 2 washers and 2 dryers for each building that has 8 units. Trying to recommend anything or telling them they're charging too much results in a have a nice day return email every time.

I had trouble with a few things in my apartment they send Augustine maintenance man over, he is so friendly @ very respectful. Most important he gets the job done from start to finish! Especially on Christmas he came by to fix my stove, without him I would not had Christmas dinner! Thank you Agustine your the best!

ok I'm editing my original post. So this place has mold and mildew issues. Management says it's the entire property that deals with this. Management and maintenance claim it's common in Alaska, however I've lived here most of My life and I never lived in a place that this is the living standard, that a landlord expected me to live in a place that constantly grew mold. I would put in maintenance to come and I would wait weeks before they would come. Another time I waited for two months For smaller issues like a closet they were prompt. The office front desk got upset with me because I came into the office and she wasn't present, so I waited because the door was unlocked, she was unapologetically and was rude. I would also get accused of my children being unattended in the hallway.

Don't recommend. Not a day where the temperature in the building has been below 80 except when there is no hot water and showers are freezing. It only manages to get to 80 when my portable AC unit is running 24/7 which costs almost $200 a month to run. When it's off it's stays around 90 F even if it's cold outside. It's exhausting to live here.
