Stewart Title of Alaska - Fairbanks

I am so unimpressed with this title company. They promise excellence and deliver disappointment. I have watched them fumble the simplest transactions. They don’t take ownership of errors, delays or responsibility. The positive reviews are only from realitor partners in this town.

This company has a lot of potential to be very good. However, currently not so much: their staff strings you along thinking everything is good to go for completion: then the drop another bombshell of bad news saying you now need _________ fill in the blank of excuses. Each visit there's something new required verses what is verbally stated: "appears everything is in order, doesn't look like anything else is needed." Well let me tell you that's a fabricated lie, always something else is needed, more money dished out to court house due to this company incompetence from the beginning. Now have to lawyer up which is even more money out of pocket due to their ridiculous wanting of unnecessary paperwork from a case closed from the beginning which I clearly stated. Has to be reopened due to the

I used Stewart to close my home selling. There is furniture sell with the transaction. Stewart mailed me the furniture check instead of wiring it together with house transaction. The mail is even without a tracking number. Unfortunately USPS lost it and I never received the check. I called the office and they let me wait for 3 months until the check is voided so that they can re-collect the payment. After 3 months, I called and emailed them. No one take responsibility now. Update: with tons of help from my broker, Stewart finally got a new check from the buyer and sent to me via Fedex.
