Our seven-year partnership with this property management company began in 2018. Initially, Jim and Jessica provided top-notch service, with Jessica being particularly responsive and courteous. However, after she left and Shyanne took over, our experience deteriorated. We encountered problems with tenants, including one person that caused significant damage and abandoned the place. In 2024, Shyanne failure to ensure the property's heating system was functioning properly during extreme cold resulted in costly damage. Despite my husband's explicit request to check on the property, Shyanne didn't follow through, acknowledging the request with a thumb up but not taking action. USAA insurance denied coverage, citing a heating-related issue, and Empire reiterated our responsibility for maintainin

Wow! What an experience. I've know Joel and many of the folks at Empire for a long time so I knew exactly who to call when I needed a company to manage my house since I moved 3,500 miles away. Jessica set me right up and had a long-term tenant in the house in no time at all. Fast forward 4 years and I had been debating whether or not to sell and before I could even call, Joel, called me and said he had a buyer that couldn't find anything on the market but my house may work perfect. Sure enough, he sent over an offer for more money than I expected. The escrow process in Alaska is really tough right now with appraisers and Title backed up but somehow he managed to get the appraisal waived and we closed early!
