We found Sherco through the realtor who helped us buy our lot in 2024 and they did a fabulous job on our new home (completed in December 2025. I’ll probably put updated photos here come summer since these are from when it was under construction). Tom is a very down-to-earth guy who is easy to talk to, and the office team was always quick to respond to questions etc. House construction can be a real headache and always has hiccups—no contractor is going to be perfect, especially when they’re juggling so many different subcontractors and projects. Early on in the process they were fine to work with, and the builder trend app was great. (there were some hiccups, but this was to be expected with COVID) During the build process we were told we had a $5,000 appliance allowance (We, including Tom, the owner of Sherco initialed the page) but after we had picked out our appliances we were told that because we changed the kitchen layout our appliance allowance was $1,800. After a compromise, we were able to meet in the middle. Found a really good builder. We are in the middle of our build and I wanted to post a review now, in case anyone is looking for a builder, like we were last summer. I'm so glad we chose Sherco. A new neighbor recommended them based on their own recent experience and we are so happy with our choice. We chose them because they have almost 30 years of experience, and our friend reported that all of their subcontractors have worked with them for many years (so they show up and stay on schedule). After interviewing other builders, we could tell we'd found the real deal: quality, value and timeliness. We are extremely frustrated with Sherco. Only being in our home for 1 year and 5 months and we have noticed after some settling that they never painted behind the trim. We can visibly see behind the trim where the walls are white. To fix this many places will have to remove the trim, sand it down and repaint. A whole bunch of work we (the homeowners) should NOT have to do for what we paid for this home. We did reach out to Sherco, but they refuse to cover this and fix it.. stating "its a better finished product." Unfortunately, this isn't the first problem we have had come about. After meeting our neighbors who have homes built by Sherco as well they are known for having poor quality and have had to fight to get things fixed.
