Shawnee Lake Apartments

I lived here about 5 years and enjoyed my stay. I saw more than a few different property managers over that time. Most were not great. Trudie Thompson was wonderful to work with. I ended up moving due to work transferring me. Now, I wish I lived there again. The only problems I had with the place: No gym or outdoor "play" area. The laundry room needed a lot of love. A pool would have been great.

Fantastic place very clean . We just went and looked at an apartment at Shawnee Lake and out of every place that we have looked at in tye past two weeks. this place would fit my mother greatly. the lake Is right across the street. She really likes the nature and her peace and quiet. Trudie was very nice in professional. And I can tell she knows what’s best for the apartment complex and the residence.

Third world style living with many section 8 tenants. Broke down vehicles with many expired tags some as old as 2021. The lawn care company waits to mow for up to 2 weeks and the landscaping looks like a nuclear bomb was dropped 20 years ago on it. There are neighbors that have up to 8 to 10 people living in a small apartment and there are cars coming at all times night or day. I'm a Non smoker and there are smokers all around us we can't sit on our patio without smelling cigarettes or Marijuana smoke.

This place is terrible! If you take a drive through the complex, you will see the landscaping is terrible! If they can not keep the outside kept up, how do you think they do on the inside? They do not fix things in a timely manner, and always have urgent issues at hand to deal with. Here are some pictures of the outside that the owner does not think is an issue to fix.

*TOXIC MOLD* illness in apartment Issue was reported 6+ mo previous and Apt manager ignored. Mold report is of toxic air born mold spores and Westport Property Management hasn't notified any of the attached units that are compromised. City code violations. Apt manager refuses to give any contact info for owners. Snow removal was almost zero, waiting until a week later to clear the lot and sidewalks. Horrible maintenance. Blatant disregard for older and/or disabled residents. Harassment and retaliation. Rent has been raised 10% and not a single upgrade has been made.
