Lot 181 Build was Behind schedule, poor communication. Everything was over promise & under deliver. Whenever we would reach out asking for updates we would get “hey guys I’m really busy I’ll get back to you when I can” . After weeks of that it gets old & you feel your time & money are being taken advantage of. The finish work is poor. Trim work doesn’t go to floor in some spots. I have bathtub that isn’t caulked (been reaching out since November), I still have issues with cabinets, stove top is not secured into counter top. It’s Either Missing grout or excess grout all over tiles. I paid for upgraded wood floors & I have humps in floor, quarter sized gaps, & spots where trim doesn’t cover floor. Matt and Julia are really nice people to plan and build your home. They are genuinely excited to plan the home details with you. If there are any mistakes during construction they will readily correct any issues. In our subdivision, Sequoia Homes' standard features were MUCH better than other builder's standard features. The quality of construction was great. We have not had any warranty issues in a year and a half.

We are half-way through the build of our dream home and couldn’t be more thrilled with our experience working with Sequoia. We left our first meeting with Maria feeling welcomed and immediately comfortable. The model home she walked us through was impressive, but we still were not sure building was the way for us to go. Over the next few months, Maria was always willing to meet us to see the model again, email, call, text, etc. She was very supportive and available to answer our questions (a lot of them) and ultimately made us feel confident about deciding to build. As luck would have it, two weeks after we signed our contract, COVID shut down most everything in Michigan, including construction. This builder is amazing! After a bad storm, a piece of our screen door had dislodged from the track. The next morning (without us even contacting the builder), we saw the builder on a ladder fixing the issue! It was such a great feeling to know our builder was still looking out for us! I didn’t know such great customer service even existed in today’s world. Thank you Sequoia homes!
