They built a house next to us. they have damaged our gutter we kept having to ask to get them fixed it, they’ve stepped on our brand new grass and moved it from its place.. and now one of the contractors hit our fence that was just installed in September and their refusing to fix it! very unprofessional and the contractors at MJC do not care about other homes. Take responsibility for your actions and contractors shame on you for not caring about other home owners. See you in small court claim if the association can’t handle this.

We bought a year ago in one of MJC's communities and we love our home. They did a great job with the fit and finish of the house, the punch list walkthrough we did was detailed and addressed promptly. We've had a handful of minor warranty claims over the year that were addressed immediately, for the longer lead time items we needed fixed the site manager working on the rest of the homes would catch me outside and give me an update. We love that they put different elevations and color schemes throughout the neighborhood and kept the wildlife area in tact.

Our experience with the builder (MJC Companies) was subpar at best...the design process is OK but if you are a first time builder (like we were), it can be confusing at times. The people managing that process were helpful and mostly responsive, but can get overwhelmed with what I believe is a broken process, which is not their fault. The build process is a chore, and we found ourselves having to keep going back to the site to catch and report errors made during the build process MANY times. At the end of the day, the quality of the home, in our opinion, was not commensurate with the price. Craftsmanship was shoddy in some areas, particularly the electrical, who were the worst of all the contractors. Sconces were hung, and light switches were placed, without any regard for where we wan

Everything about the work this company does from the ground up is garbage. I’m not uneducated, I am a professional contractor and I do know what is good work compared to bad work, and mjc does BAD WORK. Bad foundation, terrible concrete. Drywall looks like it was done by a blind man with no hands. The tile work is HORRIBLE and I mean horrible. The windows suck. The floors creak. Don’t even get me started on the electrical. EVERY plug and switch will fail within five years, one after another. Kinda scary never knowing if ur house will go up in flames due to poor electrical work. Multiple neighbors have had to have their whole condo redone by electricians. Roof issues with multiple new constructions, including damage because of leaks. My wife, daughters and I relocated to Michigan from Maryland. We started our planning in Feb. 2021 and purchased our home from MJC builders. With knowing what we liked, wanted and ideally needed we were able to find the right home from MJC Homes. Maria and Greg were very helpful to us as we were still in Maryland while the home was being finished (we added the finished basement prior to move-in). They were helpful and patient with us as most of our correspondence was by phone or email. Pictures and descriptions were shared for our approval. Best of all, it was on-time during the pandemic. After we moved in on Father's day, 2021 a few minor items needed to be fixed or corrected. Sonny was all over it!
