Scott Felder Homes - Santa Rita Ranch

We have now owned a Scott Felder home for about 4 years now, and it has been wonderful. Everything appears to be well built and the few small things we have encountered (oil from paint gun) little things like that, have been taken care of promptly and professionally. So far they have been great.

I am relocating to Austin from Dallas due to job change, so had been looking for a new house intensively in the area since March of this year, until I found Scott Felder and saw their Jarrell floor plan. I am very specific when it comes to new construction house. I've walked and compared over twenty houses by every major builder including Taylor Morrison, Highland, Perry, Coventry, Chesmar, Westin and Toll Brother in Leander, Liberty Hill and Dripping Springs, and finally narrowed it down to Scott Felder and Highland at Santa Rita Ranch, due to material quality, finishing, design flexibility, standard features and pricing for upgrades and design items. To be fair, Toll Brother also has excellent construction quality and even more choices at their design center, but their standard feature

My experience with this builder quickly deteriorated after expressing initial interest in a property. While the beginning of the process seemed standard, subsequent actions raised significant concerns about their professionalism and transparency. I was very surprised and uncomfortable to learn that the builder had contacted other home builders I had mentioned, without any prior communication or consent. This unexpected and undisclosed action ultimately led me to lose all interest in proceeding with the purchase. This builder's lack of open communication and questionable conduct gives me serious reservations, and I would caution potential buyers to be very careful.

Less than a year old and my backyard fence is already falling apart on both ends. I made a claim and they told me and my neighbors that fences are not under the one year warranty because it was determined that it was "Installed properly"... Which obviously is not so. Then they went ahead and gave me the option to get it fixed out of pocket and they gave me the information of the exact guys that installed the fence lol... You gotta be kidding me. Yeah so they can come and do the exact same poor job twice.. no thank you.

one of the worst builders with build time going infinitely into space. I booked a home in south santa rita with this build back in Dec 2021 when the interest rates were 2.5 to 3%. It’s been 1yr and he is still building my home I thought it was due to shortage of labor or any other material but he build all other inventory home within short period but mine was not built yet. Shane wolf was one of the worst sales representatives I ever faced with no respect to customers with his rude mouth and attitude. They do not fulfil whatever’s promised during pre building meeting where he said all the insulation is done with blown method but ended up with bratts, exterior colors were disgustingly dark compared to what seen in design center. They don’t create work order if we want to change anything but
