This company manages a lot of rental properties in the Glens Falls area. They have daily open houses (even on weekends) and the staff is friendly and helpful. They helped me find the right place for me and my fiancee when relocating to the area. Their apartments are clean and well maintained and they really made me feel well taken care of during our conversations and viewings.

Read the replies to all of the negative reviews and you'll learn the core concept of what Schermerhorn is as a company. At it's core, it is a deceitful, fraudulent company that has escaped consequences from New York State/HUD so far. It has not escaped bad publicity and the court of public opinion, however. Also unfortunately for them, there is no amount of legal action their company can take.. no action at all.. against viral campaigns on platforms like TikTok being started to expose what Schermerhorn is truly about. Every business should be fiscally responsible and yes, they need to make money like any other business does! BUT, that's not what they do. My Dad is living in one of their properties and it took almost 2 weeks when he moved in to get the water turned on for his washing machine. Now, he has a leaky faucet which was reported and 4 days later still no maintenance or even an acknowledgement of his maintenance request. I know they have a lot of properties, but it seems like they could at least acknowledge a request and provide some kind of timeframe. Especially since they want you to leave your apartment unlocked! Why would anyone want to do that when you have no idea when they are coming (and I'm sure if you were robbed during the time you left it unlocked, that they would not take any responsibility for it). I have lived on Gentry Hill North, for 7 years. I have always found the crews, maintenance and office staff very professional. I want to give a very special person, a massive shout out for being extremely professional, personable and very friendly. Mr.Fitz, is an amazing dude. I spoke with him today, and he was a pleasure to talk to, and very helpful. Fitz, is one of the very best things about living here.
