S & A built us a beautiful, quality home in a beautiful community in State College. The S & A team, particularly our sales/design rep and project manager (Erica and Dave) were wonderful to work with throughout the buying and building process. They were pleasant, professional, and patient with our many questions and changes, making the process more enjoyable and less stressful. The only criticism is that the project managers and buyers seem to be under pressure to prematurely close on the new house, resulting in unnecessarily unfinished or sloppily completed work by the subcontractors. They also need to do a thorough cleaning of construction filth prior to closing.

We’ve been dealing with a major unresolved issue behind our home for nearly two years: a large pile of dirt and fallen trees left over from construction that still hasn’t been cleaned up. Despite more than 10 emails and repeated follow-ups, the issue remains, with no timeline or accountability from the building team. What’s most frustrating is the complete disregard for existing homeowners once the sale is complete. While they’ve cleaned up areas around the newer lots, our section has been consistently neglected. Great home building process from start to finish. S&A was able to get our home done at a great price with a great design and options. The whole team is wonderful to work with.

Overall wonderful experience building our dream home with S&A Homes. Destiny, Preston and Ellen were a pleasure to work with and addressed any questions/concerns in an efficient and timely manner. We are beyond happy in our beautiful new home and community.

The SA staff was very helpful during the home buying process. The man in charge of helping with the three month warranty fix list was very nice and attentive and I appreciated that. The paint and carpet are very low quality but that may be normal for new builds. The sliding glass door is more noisy than expected during wind. The front door was put on slightly crooked making the door hard to open. At the three month warranty, it was attempted to be fixed. Although it is better, it is still not as it should be. I will re-address that at the six month warranty. The foundation of the house seems very solid. The color scheme on the outside of my house and the ones close by look very good together.
