Rolling Hills Apartments

If you’re looking at renting an apartment here at rolling hills, here’s a small look into my experience over the last 15 months. The apartments are old. They’ve been hit with the landlord special at least 4 times over. They still smell like cigarettes, I’m assuming from when smoking inside was allowed back in the 70s. I don’t think the carpet or wood floors have ever been renovated. The walls are so thin you’ll be able to hear your neighbors having dinner. Or in my case you’ll be able to hear babies cry, neighbors scream at each other, and banging on the walls. I was on the third floor so every time someone used the stairs my apartment shook. I pulled the nails out that were holding up my artwork and the tips of them were rusted from being outside. Pretty sure the walls are just drywall,

I have not felt this at home in a very long time. It is almost like a fairy tale for me and my son. It is so quiet and peaceful. All we hear are the birds chirping and the crickets at night. We live on the bottom floor and are covered by trees so it stays really nice and cool in the summer. Barely have to use the AC. We have a big three bedroom and our electricity is not anywhere as expensive as it was in our current apartment. I love when I leave for work in the morning and I can smell fresh air. It reminds me of being in summer camp. I really appreciate living here and I am excited to come home from work everyday. The pool is always so clean and amazing and most the time we have it to ourselves because of my schedule. It's been a long time since I've felt this safe. I truly enjoy living

Apartment had strong scent of 3rd hand smoke throughout, when I confronted them about this they claimed it was the new carpet, however after a month it did not get better. There is a clause in the lease that let them get away with this despite advertising as smoke free. They also sprayed bleach behind my toilet and did not open a window or turn on a fan, subjecting my pet to being in a bleach fumed apartment for half a day.

Whatever you do, DON’T. Not worth the price. If you find mold, report to local health or housing authority’s, maintenance will just put bleach on the mold and call it good. They do not remove it completely because the mold will just return even if you follow guidelines. Also bugs….this area is right next to a wetland so somehow a variety of different bugs entered the apartment. And you can forget about PEACE and QUIET, the complex is awake until about 4am sometimes 24/7. Oh also if you have assigned parking you can forget about it if you leave for a little bit because the other residents own up to 4 cars and will park in your spot. And with that, if you still decide that you want to live here, then you are a champ and you’ll find out the rest eventually. Good luck!

Worst apartment building I ever lived in shady company. The places are old. They don’t upgrade them for what they’re l ask you for and with the water utilities. They’re a total rip off. They don’t don’t dotheir job to make sure people are properly put on the lease. Allowed just anybody to live there watched drug deals go down in front of my apartment when I live there. I wouldn’t recommend nobody to rent or lease from these people CTL management are only out for themselves and their money and doesn’t care about the tenants.
